The Anir Vertical mouse was developed by the Norwegian company Animax. This unique mouse is designed as a pilot stick and encourages a natural vertical hand position with the thumb pointing upwards. It is quite different from other mice on the market. Users rest the back of the hand at the base of the mouse and the thumb on the switch on the top of the stick for easy right and left clicks of the mouse button. It comes in two sizes, Small/Medium and Large, and so far only for right hand users.
Animax also distributes their product through 3M. It is called the 3M Ergonomic Mouse and is also available in the two sizes Small/Medium and Large.
Users find the Anir Ergonomic mouse more relaxing on the wrist than using an ordinary mouse, and report that it helps reduce stress and pain from tendinitis or other hand/wrist conditions. Some people claim they have avoided operations and rendering cortisone injections unnecessary.
