Katrine Fjeldal Clip welcomes you!
| Me.
I am a Norwegian woman living in San Francisco, California, with
my husband, Paul, and our little son, Thomas,
born February 9, 1999. | ||
| Work.
I have just finished translating a novel from French
to Norwegian:
La Légende d'Ulenspiegel. This novel was
written by the Belgian author Charles De Coster in 1867. I worked on this novel for quite some time (on and off for 3 years!), it was not an easy task with its old archaic language and structure. But I did it, in April 1998 I gave in the manuscript to the editor and hope to see the novel published soon. |
||
| My next project is another Belgian novel, probably one by Marie Gevers, Madame Orpha, that I like a lot. | ||
| Places I've lived: | ||
| I grew up in Oslo, Norway and studied at the University of Oslo (Computer science, English, French). | ||
| I lived in Brussels, Belgium, with Paul, where I worked in the
European Commission
, in
DG XXII Education, Training and Youth. I worked essentially with the exchange program Lingua, but also with the Socrates program. | ||
| We moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Paul was studying at Carnegie Mellon University |
|
|
| My interests lie in the field of literature and languages, as well as computers and the internet. My work and interests are reflected in my web site Best of Norway. | ||
| Other interests I have are photography, container-gardening (since I only have a small balcony!), sewing/quilting, working out. |
